Las Vegas

Las Vegas is the “Entertainment Capital of the World” and Nevada’s most popular destination. While many people associate Las Vegas with a night on the Strip gambling at some of the top casinos in the country, Las Vegas is much more than that. It’s a wonderful location to live with everything from a beautiful desert climate that offers great recreational opportunities to a place that many call home with a large variety of career opportunities.

With two million people living here enjoying the sunny days and the exciting nights, Las Vegas is one of the most unique places to live. Take a closer look at what this city offers its residents.

About Vegas

Las Vegas is Nevada’s most populous city and commonly known for nicknames including “Sin City,” “City of Lights,” “The Gambling Capital of the World,” and “The Marriage Capital of the World.”  Being a major resort city, it’s booming with tourism, service jobs and many opportunities for vacation. One of the top destinations in the US for businesses and meetings, Las Vegas is a leader in being the destination that offers the most AAA Five Diamond hotels, and one of the top vacation destinations in the world.

Outside of the Las Vegas Strip, Vegas is known for being a beautiful city with amazing resorts, unincorporated communities, and for offering not only the Mojave Desert, but also the surrounding mountain ranges for picturesque views and hikes.

What to Expect Living Here

Most people have a preconceived notion of what it would be like to live in Las Vegas, but it’s typically far from the real Las Vegas living experience. New residents to the area will typically notice that it’s a beautiful area for unconventional reasons; with its desert appeal by day and the bright lights of the Strip by night.

Moving to Las Vegas gives residents the best of both worlds, from the excitement of the Strip for date night to the Red Rock hiking trails for an adventure outside of the city. Las Vegas Boulevard leaves Strip goers feeling like they are in France one moment and Italy the next, thanks to all of the creative décor and diverse resorts offered around the area.

Whether it’s dining at top restaurants, shopping at high-end boutiques, seeing an iconic act at a concert venue, or enjoying nature with mountain biking or hiking trails, there is never a shortage of activities to enjoy in the city of Las Vegas.

Living in Las Vegas does not mean being on vacation every day. Residents of the city can enjoy an exciting career, a great climate, and a wonderful community. The plus side is having the Las Vegas Strip right in your own “backyard.”

Many people live in the neighborhoods of Downtown Las Vegas where you can find local businesses, charming vibe, and fine dining. Downtown East is a great alternative to Downtown, being extremely affordable and but still offering all of the exciting activities to enjoy. For a smaller neighborhood appeal, Meadows Village offers a peaceful getaway from the excitement of the city.  Huntridge and Rancho Charleston are also popular choices for affordability and great places to raise a family.

Living in Vegas offers great opportunities for excitement. Aside from the Strip, residents can enjoy amazing dining, shopping, recreation and entertainment. Pay a visit to the Grand Canyon, hike the Red Rock Canyon, and check out the Hoover Dam, all located only a few short miles outside of Las Vegas.

Visit museums like the Neon Museum or the Mob Museum, or eat at local restaurants like Firefly, Sushi Mon, Raku, and Lotus of Siam.

Offering both affordability and luxury options, you can find it all in Las Vegas.
